Meet The Owners
George and Marisa Russell moved to Murfreesboro, TN from Los Angeles, CA in 2006 with the dream of giving their family a better life.
George Russell is a second generation European Master Technician. Being raised in a repair shop, gave him love, passion and a fascination with cars at a very young age. At the age of 14, George began his 30+ year journey into the automotive industry. In 1997, George started his official apprenticeship at Sweeney’s Automotive in Southern California and became a Certified Master Technician within several years. Since his youth, he has built countless high end performance and classic cars. George is the brawn behind the business, spending most of his time in the shop. He loves educating and helping people in our community with their cars and being a very busy father to two boys.
Marisa Russell had a passion for import racing long before The Fast and The Furious. At the age of 16, her grandfather bought her a 1992 Eagle Talon TSI, and thats when the love of fast cars began. She would compete in the Southern California 1/4 mile racing scene and at times the street races. (Shhh… don’t tell anyone). Since her youth, she got involved with the building of her cars and even doing some of the building herself. Now while she still enjoys going fast, she’s the brains behind Ray’s Imports, taking care of all marketing and putting a female touch on the business.
In 2009, George and Marisa were given the opportunity to purchase Ray’s Imports and fulfill their lifelong dreams of shop ownership. They live in and love serving the great people of Murfreesboro!
